Protocol Reader ® provides an integrated develop environment for generating protocol-decoder that used to parse and display received binary packages.

With an easy-to-use interface and a programmable kernel, it can support variety of protocols such as SNMP, IP based protocols (TCP,UDP, etc), Telcomunication protocols(SS7, ISUP, MTP, etc), ASN.1 based protocols(MAP, CAP, etc), VoIP protocols(H.323, etc) or you can define new custom decoders of non- standard or rare protocols.

Unlike other protocol analyzer tool, we provide advanced features to meet future needs, not only for standard protocols, but also for user-defined protocols . Instead of waiting long time for a new protocol decoder to be released, you can easily write a script to support new protocols in a incredible short time by yourself. Main Features and Characteristic:

• Display packets content with detailed protocol information by hiberarchy
• Excellent protocol-decoding kernel for supporting new or specific types of packets.
• Strong script process kernel with compile feature embedded. The script development environment (IDE) allow you to write a script with simple, comprehensible hiberarchy and familiar syntax, no boring coding or compiling involved. Script for the decoder is open-source, you could edit it by any text-editor, and make any modification or improvement to fit your needs. Write excellent script and share it with others makes it easy to support even newest protocols.
• Plug-in is supported to deal with complicated protocols or specific requirement.
• Protocol Reader can be used as independent data analyzer, or integrated with other application. A binary-packet-accepting interface is provided for accepting raw data from any external applications.
• Smart real-time analyzer. You can use manual or automatic decode mode to deal with the constantly coming message.
• Environment for debuging and testing newly developed protocol-decoder is provided.
• Two display mode, three comment mode and some alternation is provided for your preference

• The kernel of the software is cross-platform. We currently support all of windows version (Windows XP/2000/NT/ME/98...), if necessary we will release an unix version later.
