With version 2.0, files and folders can be automatically zipped and uploaded, or unzipped after download. Also included is a powerful editor to directly edit local and remote files. The editor supports advanced features like syntax color highlighting for HTML, Perl and other languages.

Robotftp enables simultaneous browsing of multiple sites, resuming of broken downloads or uploads, scheduling of recurring tasks, and use of multiple connection threads for fast file transfers. The filesystem of the remote computer is automatically generated, and listed folders are checked off. Files are transferred in the order that they were queued and are persistently retried if necessary. Files that could not be transferred due to a connection or server problem are summarized. The synchronization feature enables perfect mirroring of local and remote folders, overwriting only files that have changed, or replacing all files. Scheduled tasks will automatically run when due, even when the program is not open.

Robotftp also supports other default features like firewall support, clipboard monitoring, idle timeout prevention, PASV file transfers, auto ASCII/Binary mode selection, pre-configured FTP Sites, and recursive deletion of files on the remote computer.
