SharePoint Active User Plus Group Redirect Web Part 2.1 description
SharePoint Active User Plus Group Redirect Web Part 2.1 is a convenient tool which allows you to redirect all users, specific users by username, users belonging to one or more SharePoint groups, users belonging to one or more Active Directory groups, or a combination of those conditions. The advanced confirmation allows you to group multiple conditions together in a CAML-line statement with , , and operators, e.g. redirect all users that belong to 2 SharePoint groups and do not belong to an Active Directory group.
The redirection can happen immediately (on the server side) or with a delay (timed redirect using client-side JavaScript). The former is extremely useful for providing customized landing pages for various types of users, e.g. a customized accounting dashboard just for accounting staff. The latter option allows the user to view the page before being redirected. This functionality can be used to create an easy slideshow of SharePoint pages with time delayed redirection between each one.
