Sohodox 5 (formerly doQuments Professional Edition) offers users smart Windows based document management software for your small office. Using Sohodox you can quickly create a centralized, searchable database of all your documents. Add documents by dragging & dropping existing files and scanning paper documents. Sohodox works with any TWAIN compatible scanner. Save scanned documents as PDF, TIFF, JPEG or PNG files. Re-arrange and add pages to PDF or TIFF files at any time.

Sohodox features a modern MS Outlook style user interface that you are already familiar with. Multiple Sohodox users on your network can simultaneously work with the same Sohodox database. Keep documents private or share them with other Sohodox users on your network. Manage documents by arranging them in folders, attaching text tags to each document and using Document Types. The powerful Document Types feature lets you save specific indexing information with each document (for e.g. store Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Invoice Amount with each added Invoice and store Sender Name, Date with each added Letter).

OCR feature extracts text from your scanned documents to make them instantly searchable. Annotation features let you quickly highlight certain part of a document and add a Note next to it. You can add stamps to a document as well as place your signature on a document Create multiple links between related documents. This lets you easily jump from one document to another. For example you can link an invoice to a check or a letter to its reply. Query your database using multi-condition searches (e.g. all invoices from ACME Corp. from Jan 2008). Major Features:

1. Scan: With scanning built into Sohodox, you can scan single or multi-page documents and save them as TIFF or PDF. Sohodox supports all TWAIN compatible scanners including ones with ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) attachment. It also supports duplex scanning.
2. OCR: Text from image files can be extracted using built-in OCR (Optical Character Recogniztion). The extracted text can be used for searching.
3. Any File Type: Any type of file on your machine can be added by dragging & dropping it onto Sohodox (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, PDF, JPEG and Autocad files). Email messages or just attachments can be dragged & dropped from MS Outlook. Even text can be selected and dragged & dropped from a document or a web page.
4. Annotation: Highlight or mark certain part of a document and add a Note beside it. Add Stamps as well as your Signature to a document.
5. Folders: Just create Folders and Sub Folders and drag & drop your documents to it. Quickly import and re-create your existing folder structure from your hard drive. Place your confidential or personal docs in a Private folder which only you can access.
6. Multi-User: Sohodox features full multi-user support. This means multiple users can simultaneously work with the same database.
