Bloodhound is an application developed to monitor your Hosts and keeps you informed.

Here are some key features of "Bloodhound":

· Accoustic Alert: Bloodhound can howl on entering host down status and barks when the host is up again.
· Autostart: On older Windows like Windows 98 and Windows ME Bloodhound can be run from the Autostart group when you log onto your Windows.
· Ballon Notification: Bloodhound shows every status change if desired as ballon over his system tray icon.
· Email Notification: Bloodhound can email you and others on entering host down status or when the host is up again.
· Status Icons: Bloodhound shows for every status and action he is performing a unique system tray icon. This gives you a fast visible control.
· Host Status List: When you need more information, in example which hosts have problems, how many tries failed and so on take a look at the host status window. One double-click on Bloodhounds system tray icon and special Smileys show you the status of each host fast.
· Monitors Web Pages: The protocols HTTP Head and HTTP Get are supported. You can monitor static and dynamic web pages. With the get protocol you just get the header information of the document.
· Monitors Files: With the http get protocol you just get the header information of a document. This is ideal to monitor downlod files.
· Monitors Secured Pages: The protocols HTTPS Head and HTTPS Get are supported. This helps to monitor secured web pages.
· Monitors other Ports: You can monitor on other ports than the standard port 80. There you can need this in example for a web-based Email host.
