DomainScan is an advanced domain monitor with automatic data logging and audit capabilities. DomainScan will help you monitor all devices and users.
Device monitoring, tracking and auditing
DomainScan is designed to monitor all devices and users continuously. Also, DomainScan collects audit information, which, combined with tracking information, makes DomainScan capable of producing usage timelines and to detect device trends.
Monitors
Custom monitors can be created to monitor that vital services, hardware or programs are working correctly. And custom responses can be made to react to monitor failures.
Non-Windows device support
DomainScan is capable of basic monitoring on any type of network device. That can be switches, routers, firewalls, Linux based devices, MacOS devices etc.
Data analysis (Executive features)
A unique feature in this price range is the inclusion of executive features, which can be used to analyze data and to create domain reports that give an executive overview of the network.
Read-only/kiosk mode
DomainScan Client can work in both administrator mode and in read-only mode, which makes it possible to use DomainScan as a common platform, regardless if you are a IT-supporter, system administrator or the head of IT.
No client software
DomainScan is based on existing future proof technologies, like WMI and SNMP, which means that information is gathered via these widespread management protocols.
Easy to install, use and learn
DomainScan is easily installed via the Service Setup Wizard that will guide you though the initial installation process.
All that is required is username and password for the DomainScan Service and a location for the database, and then DomainScan is up and running. The user interface is intuitive, and the basic features are easy to learn in a few minutes.
Visualization
The built-in visualization engine is capable of showing data graphically, so that trends can be predicted as for instance the number of online users during the day or month, or it can be used to predict when a file server runs out of space.
Scalable and reliable
DomainScan is from ground-up built as a scalable and dependable object-oriented program. DomainScan is SMP capable, with support for up to 127 concurrent worker threads, and the high-performance database makes sure that the disk load is low.
NOTE: DomainScan must run with domain admins privileges to utilize all tools. The optional software components must be present on the network for all features to work.
