IPNEM 1.0

The IPNEM application was designed to be a non-interactive MS Windows service based tool for monitoring and reporting of many different IP network traffic events of interest on multiple concurrent network interfaces with the ability to group networks into many categories (DMZ, Internal, External, MAN, VPN, WAN, WLAN). Every network group has a set of control parameters which allows each group to be tailored to specific events of interest.

The tool will save the event information to a various logs files, will save event information to a database table (MS SQL Server is currently supported), will send event notification messages via SMTP e-mail, will allow keyword and regular expression (RegEx) searching of packet data and will allow for logging of packet data for selected network events into log files, a database table, and e-mail messages. A MS Windows based configuration tool (IPNEMC) is included which facilitates the installation, service control and editing of control parameters.
