Network Event Viewer enables system administrators to manage, view, sort and search multiple event log files simultaneously.

￭ Centralized Event Logging
The Windows operating system and many 3rd party Windows Services and applications use the Windows Event Log system to log informational, warning, and critical information used by Network Administrators to help identify application errors.  Network Event Viewer real-time monitors, consolidates and archives event logs to SQL Server, MySQL or the file system.  Administrators can automatically export consolidated logs to CSV, EVT, HTML, TXT, and XML. Network Event Viewer can optionally clear event logs once archived.  Use the viewer to merge multiple logs into a single view.

Supports several different alerts and actions when key events are detected. Trigger actions such as sending a fully customizable email, exporting to a file, displaying a message box, playing a sound, writing key events to a user defined database table, forwarding key events to a syslog server, displaying a system tray popup message or sending a SMS notification through an email-to-SMS gateway or service.

Create scheduled reports that contain events of interest from a set of computers. For example, receive a daily report that contains a list of all failed login attempts to your domain controllers for the last 24 hours. Email report content is fully customizable through our HTML email templates.

Configuration templates allow you to save an event log consolidation and monitoring configuration. Quickly assign configuration templates to a set of computers and logs. New computers can be automatically configured with our Active Directory Auto Configurator. When a new computer is discovered, your configuration template is assigned making log consolidation and monitoring automatic.

Network Event Viewer includes a self-contained syslog server that can be used to collect syslog log messages from both computers and devices such as routers.

Network Event Viewer consists of a Windows service and a separate management interface. No agent software needs to be installed on the machines you wish to manage. Network Event Viewer uses multi-threaded code to download and filter event logs. This format enables thousands of entries to be consolidated and filtered in seconds.

A downloading service enables the logs to be downloaded on a configured schedule for later review or email notification of specific events.
Event logs can be merged into one view and view filters set. Events can be sorted and filtered by log, level, host, time, source, category, event ID, and user.
Network Event Viewer also enables system administrators to clear remote event logs enabling event logs to be rotated and drive space freed.

Enhancements:
- In previous builds when downloading event log entries all entries were saved to the data repository. Users can now apply a consolidation filter that limits the saved entries to those that pass the assigned filter. Use the Configuration Wizard to apply a consolidation filter. Please note, while making changes to the Configuration Wizard some of the icons and layout were modified.
- The configuration templates did not save download filters and actions or any of the real-time parameters. The templates have been updated to save these parameters.
- The Active Directory Auto Configurator did not skip computers listed in the exclusion list. This bug has been fixed.
- Users can create a new action based on a current action. From the Actions Manager select the action to base the new action on and then click Copy.
- The action configuration dialogs have been moved from the application library to our Corner Bowl Software common library enabling code reuse between all our applications. Please note there are several minor user interface differences.
- We have boosted the syslog forward action performance. Previously the UDP socket was recreated for every entry forwarded. The UDP socket is now cached.
- When storing logs using MySQL there in some cases the archive function threw an error causing the archive to fail. This bug has been fixed.
