Violog Standard Edition 1.0 is a useful tool. It has many features that companies can take advantage of to diagnose their systems. This ranges from managing and analyzing their systems, to monitoring them, to alerting the right individuals of changes to them.

It also provides businesses with the ability to view all three of the operation perspectives of the overall systems at the same time. They are the Real-Time Perspective (RTP), Query Perspective (QP), and Historical Analysis Perspective (HAP).

Major Features:

1. Streams: Streams in Violog are an abstraction created so that you can manage and aggregate your log data from different sources. We currently support network accessible file based streams, or monitoring a local or network folder for logs matching a specified pattern. After you configure the streams, you do not have to worry about the details of where all your distributed logs are on your network. You can manage and analyze your data faster without hunting around your network at 2am looking for the right logs.
2. Stream Aggregation: Aggregate logs from multiple sources into a single stream.  Save time by easily managing your logs without having to know the details of where each file is stored.
3. Stream Correlation: Correlate events from different streams based on time. View events occurring at the same time across different logs. If your log files roll over when they reach some size, you can treat all those files as a single time-ordered stream.
4. View Stream Properties: View properties about your logs on the dashboard, such as the last event time, file size, location and more.  See information about your distributed logs in one place to improve their manageability.
5. Dashboard Drill-down: Drill down into your event detail from the dashboard using the streams view or by using a point in time on our interactive charts. Effortlessly navigate your data from a single high-level perspective.
