Bandwidth Management and Firewall 2.2.2

BMF is tool for network administrators and professionals who needs to have control over traffic shaping, amount of transferred data and security in company network. It contains stateful inspection for mostly used internet protocols and thus it provides also firewall functionality. It is suitable tool for internet service providers or companies who needs network management tool on Windows platform. Product?s TCP stateful inspection belongs to the quickest in contemporary Windows firewalls and this property makes it suitable for deploying on network interfaces with 1Gbit/s and higher data flows. High speed capacity gets under control thousands of clients and TCP connections. BMF configuration consists of filters. With help of packet filtering or stateful protocol information is set bandwidth limit, dynamic bandwidth reserve, Fair Usage Policy data quotas or prohibiting of network traffic. Every defined filter can operate on full-duplex/half-duplex mode and it provides dividing of outgoing/incoming speed by chosen ratio. Network traffic caught by filter is determined by addresses of communicating peers or by patterns in transferred packets. All product functionality is contained in one installation package which can be deployed on Windows gateway from company network to internet, on Windows server or on Windows ethernet bridge. Deploying BMF is transparent for network clients, there is no need to set QoS and no need to install some client software. Deploying on dedicated computer operating as Windows ethernet bridge provides simple solution if there is not possible to install BMF directly on gateway. Supported protocols: Ethernet, IPv4, TCP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, Passive FTP, HTTP, P2P. Other features: NAT, Maximum of TCP/UDP connections per client, DoS attack protection, support for displaying and logging filter?s data flows in Performance Monitor graphs and logs. BMF contains DHCP server based on ISC DHCP server which provides very good compatibility with DHCP standards.
