Event Notifications

Event notifications can be sent if a file transfer fails or if it succeeds. You may need failure notifications for quick resolution of file transfer problems or or success notifications to let users know that new files are available for further processing.

Email Notifications
Diplomat Standard Edition customizes email notifications to business users and IT support. Email to business users summarizes what occurred during a file transfer job, such as the names, sizes, and locations of files that were successfully transferred. IT support users typically need email notifications only when a file transfer fails. IT support emails also include a copy of the detailed log entries for the file transfer job to assist in immediate diagnosis and resolution of file transfer problems.

Pager Notifications
For more urgent situations, you can send pager notifications for critical errors or for warning level errors, as well. Errors that affect all file transfers are considered critical. Errors that affect an individual file transfer job are considered warnings.
Built-in Audit Database and Reporting

The built-in audit database in Standard Edition can demonstrate mandated regulatory compliance, such as HIPAA or Sarbanes-Oxley.

Standard Edition captures detailed information on every step in a file transfer job, such as whether files are to be encrypted and which key to use. It also captures data on each file it attempts to transfer, such as the name of the source file, whether the file was successfully encrypted, the name and location of the destination file, and whether it was written successfully.
