To achieve Zero-day protection, OSsurance technology monitors system calls and where they originate in your computer. Worms often cause Buffer Overflows (BoF) and launch unwanted executables. OSsurance detects those and prevents them from running. It therefore stops them from spreading.

OSsurance also utilizes a white list approach, or trusted applications list, to allow only those programs that users have previously authorized to run on the computer. This eliminates the threat of hackers tricking users into running malicious executables. Users can easily add new applications to the trusted list when desired - but no one else can.
