PasswordPod 3.11 is an advanced and easy to use tool which is developed to give you an professional way to store all your website passwords and other private information securely in one password-protected file. It can also transfer login details to web page forms automatically
Recording important security details on paper is rarely a good idea, due to the risk of loss or someone else finding them. Using the same login details for different sites is not secure enough for important online banking websites and just allowing your web browser to remember your login details on your computer might allow other people to access them.
PasswordPod stores your secret information in a secure file on your computer that no-one else can access without knowing your master password. The file is always stored in encrypted (scrambled) form using high security AES encryption. When you start PasswordPod for the first time, you choose the name and location of the secure data file and choose a master password. Whenever you add new data, it is encrypted before being written to the file. Each time you start PasswordPod, you need to enter the master password to unlock the data.
Your data is stored as a collection of records, each of which has a unique name. A record would typically contain all the data required for a particular website, although you can store any information you like in a record. You can organize your records into whatever groups you like in a tree which is shown in the main window.
When PasswordPod is running, you can control it using a padlock icon which sits in the system tray at the bottom right hand side of your screen. Whilst using your web browser, you can click on one of the options in the icon's menu to instantly create a new record corresponding to the current website. The next time you visit that page on the site, you can click on the icon's menu to transfer the record details to the page, or even better, you can have PasswordPod do the transfers for you automatically as you surf.
You can also manually drag individual items from a record and drop the data onto a web page or other document or program that supports drag & drop.
To display general help from the main window, press F1 or choose Help Topics from the menu. For help on an individual window item, click on the Context sensitive help for password manager toolbar button, then click on the item you want help for.

Enhancements:
- Fixed bug where program would sometimes crash if double-click on plus sign next to group
- Notes field now does automatic wordwrap when typing as this is more convenient for most users
- When transferring record data automatically to web pages, no longer waits until the page has fully loaded before transferring the details across
- When transfer details from web page to a record, existing data items are only now updated if they match the web page element exactly. This is to correct a problem where data items were sometimes being updated incorrectly

Requirements:
- PasswordPod is a Win32 application and can be used on computers running Windows 98, 98SE, ME, NT, 2000, XP and Vista. If installed on a USB flash drive, the computer requires Windows 2000 or later.
- PasswordPod allows you to link your records to web pages. When using an external browser, matching records are automatically selected and the data can be automatically transferred between the record and the page. This functionality is currently available when using either Internet Explorer (at least version 4) or AOL (Explorer or OpenRide).
- Note that you can always manually drag data from your records and drop it onto any kind of web browser or any document that supports drag & drop.
