Simple File Shredder is a utility that securely deletes your files so they cant be restored using recovery software.

SFS ensures your privacy by:

-Scrambling the file name
-Over-writing the file up to 25 times with random bytes
-Change the file date/time to a random date/time value
-Verify the file has been completely shredded before deleting it

Why do you need Simple File Shredder?

When you delete a file using the conventional Windows Delete method, the file is not destroyed. Windows simply acknowledges the file is no longer needed and considers it free space. The file will exist in a recoverable state until its over-written with other data. When you use Simple File Shredder to delete (shred) a file, it gives the file a meaningless name and ?e-writes?the file with random data. If the file was ever restored using recovery software, it would be worthless.
