MS Access 2003 MDE/ADE applications can not run in Access 2002. Applications compiled with the undocumented SysCmd call can not run on Access 2002 because of the differences in Access VBA projects.

The add-in supports MDB and MDA databases with Access user level security and behaves like the build-in "Make MDE File" function.

Access MDE Compiler can compile all MDB/ADP files made by Access 2003. However, this tool can not replace calls to new Access 2003 properties and methods in the VBA code. If your application uses this type of code a trappable error will be generated at runtime and your application may halt.
