BARCODE/NET

Barcode/NET™ is Mabry Software’s next generation, industrial quality barcode and printing component. Barcode/NET is flexible and fast, producing output of superb quality. No special knowledge or equipment is required to use this component.

Barcode/NET gives the programmer complete control over the appearance of the generated barcode. Barcode size and width, text color, bar color and background color are selectable by the programmer. Barcode/NET can rotate the barcode and its accompanying text in 90-degree increments.

Barcode/NET supports a wide range of symbologies. Included are: Code 3 of 9, Interleaved 2 of 5, Code 128, UPC-A (with extensions), UPC-E (with extensions), PostNet, Code 93, Codabar, Code 2 of 5, MSI Code, Code 11, MSI Plessey, Code 3 of 9 Trioptic, Code 3 of 9, Extended, EAN-13, EAN-8, JAN-13, JAN-8, SISAC, ISBN, Bookland, UCC/EAN-128, DUN-14, and U.K. Royal Mail.

The programmer can choose whether or not to display human readable text and, if so, select the text’s color, the font, size, and where to place it relative to the barcode (above, below, left, right, centered). Barcode/NET will bind to a data source. This allows the programmer to easily generate and print hundreds of different barcodes with no special fonts or printers required. Barcode/NET’s output is high-resolution, high quality imaging. The output is perfect for printing labels, shipping manifests, medical records, etc.

Barcode/NET comes with samples that show exactly how to implement the component in Microsoft Visual C# .NET, Visual Basic .NET, printing in the .NET Framework, writing the barcode image to disk, etc. Barcode/NET also comes with a reference on every supported barcode symbology to help programmers decide which to use for their application and how to best use the symbology chosen.

Mabry Software was one of the first component vendors to offer a barcoding control for Microsoft Visual Basic. Mabry’s near-decade of barcoding experience has been poured into the design and implementation of Barcode/NET.
