ClearImage barcode recognition products offer outstanding performance, by rapidly recognizing any number of barcodes, in any orientation on an image. They are designed to read poor quality or damaged bar codes whose appearance is far below the specifications by using heuristic barcode recognition logic that automatically optimizes the scan settings to recover data from images.

ClearImage image processing products allow you to automatically repair images, remove noise, remove borders, smooth lines, delete form lines, deskew, rotate, and manipulate scanned or faxed images in many other ways, and save them in multiple formats (TIFF BMP PCX). Evaluation Engines:

1. ClearImage Barcode 1D Basic
   • Use ClearImage Barcode 1D Basic to automatically and rapidly recognize barcodes on separator sheets and cover pages for indexing, routing and content storage purposes. Reading up to 17 different 1D symbologies, including Code 39, Code 128, ClearImage can keep up with even the highest performance scanners and applications. 
2. ClearImage Barcode 1D Pro 
   • Read 21 different 1D barcodes, including Code 39, Code 128, Intelligent Mail Barcodes, Australia Post, Royal Mail, 4 state postal codes, and many others from images stored in PDF , TIFF, JPG and other image file formats. Process invoices, route incoming  fax documents , index documents in scanning service bureaus and support critical production applications. No matter from which source you obtain the images: Fax server, document scanner, camera or microfilm scanner, ClearImage 1D Pro will read them:

3. ClearImage PDF417
   • Read PDF417 barcodes from images stored in PDF , TIFF, JPG and other image file formats. 4. ClearImage DataMatrix 
   • Read automatically all DataMatrix barcodes from image files, including PDF or TIFF. Barcodes coming from FAX, scanner, camera or microfilm can be in any orientation. Combined with Inlite's barcode generation this engine assures the highest barcode readability for your business process.
5. ClearImage Repair
   • ClearImage Repair addresses the common image quality issues of fax and scanned images. Without operator intervention, it automatically analyzes, cleans up and standardizes the appearance of images for archiving, for viewing without operator fatigue, for key from image data entry and for reducing OCR/ICR error rates. Through an intuitive .NET or COM API, ClearImage Repair operates on Bi-tonal, Color and Grayscale images, stored in the most popular formats, including TIFF, JPG or PDF . 
6. ClearImage Tools
   • Imaging professionals as well as IT developers can use Tools to quickly build form recognition, image modification and image quality control applications. Like all other ClearImage engines, Tools can operate on Bi-tonal, Color and Grayscale images, stored in the most popular formats, including TIFF, JPG or PDF. For example, image objects such as text, numbers, logos, lines on forms, signature lines, boxes, and all other image elements are made accessible to the developer.
7. ClearImage PDF I/O 
   • Encapsulating images in PDF files by Scanners, Fax Servers and MFPs for easy viewing, archiving and exchange becomes increasing popular. Various applications, like Word, store document data in PDF files through direct build-in PDF output or using PDF printer drivers. ClearImage PDF I/O accommodates both uses of PDF format. It either directly extracts images created by scanning devices, or rasterizes PDF documents produced by application. Method of processing can be completely automatic based on PDF file content.
   • Obtained images are available to image processing tools and can be stored back after processing in PDF format. While barcode recognition engines include ability to read barcodes from images encapsulated in PDF file, ClearImage PDF I/O enables barcode recognition from document generated by applications as well. 8. ClearImage Driver License and ID Card Reader 
   • Over 45 states issue driver licenses with personal data encoded onto the 2D (and 1D) barcodes. The information includes birth dates, addresses and more. The barcodes are usually found on the back of the driver license. 
9. ClearCheck21 MICR Reader 
   • Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) OCR technology was developed 30 years ago to automate the processing of checks, and has been widely implemented around the world. The characters are printed within a clear band at the bottom of checks and on substitute checks. Traditionally they are read by contact magnetic readers as the check is being scanned on countertop check scanners, or high speed scanners operating at back office processing centers in banks.
   • With the advent of Check21image exchange, it has become necessary to read the MICR characters from images at the point of capture as well as the point of exchange.
