Using InstallShield to properly create components from large or deeply nested file collections is difficult and time-consuming. Component Creator creates unique components in your InstallShield MSI project from file collections of any size. This is the ideal tool for adding web site files, help files, reports, or other content-type files to your InstallShield project in an upgrade and patch friendly manner. Features: 1. The easy to use Explorer-like interface allows you to select individual files or complete directory structures beneath which all items should be added as components. 2. Filter files by mask or by attribute so that you only see the file types you need. 3. Select a root directory and then associate that directory with any destination folder and Component target folders will automatically be set relative to the destination folder. 4. Create unique components, no more �AllOtherFiles� components. 5. Component names may be set to the file name, the file name prefixed with user defined text, or prefixed with the path to the file. 6. Optionally associate components with a feature or sub-feature. 7. Use hard-coded source paths or allow Component Creator to select an appropriate standard, predefined, or environment path variable for you. 8. Optionally flag components as Permanent, Never Overwrite, and/or Shared. 9.
