novaPDF OEM 6.2

novaPDF OEM 6.2  is designed as a professional program that can help you generate PDF files that will be post-processed by their own applications.

novaPDF OEM works as a normal PDF printer (offers the features of novaPDF Professional) only that the output PDF file is saved to a location set programatically during installation using parameters. More details on how novaPDF OEM works:

• from your programs setup you start the silent installation of novaPDF OEM
• when launching the novaPDF OEM setup you use several command line parameters to: add your applications name (it will be displayed on the About page of the novaPDF driver), set a folder where the PDF will be saved (a temporary folder hidden somewhere), register novaPDF OEM, set the PDF file name (fixed name or you can use macros), where to save the files (locally or remote), choose what to do when the file exists in the destination, choose what application to run after the printing (as well as passing specific arguments for this application)
• after the installation of novaPDF OEM is finished, any document sent to it for printing will be converted to a PDF file and saved in the location you've initially set through parameters
• the PDF will not be shown to the user and only your application will be able to post-process it

Major Features:

1.  Universality. Converts to PDF any type of printable documents (DOC, XLS, PPT, EML, HTML, TXT, PUB, ...) into searchable PDF files.
2. PDF Security. PDF files can be password protected to control whether the PDF can be viewed, printed, modified, copied or annotated. 40-bit and 128-bit encryption levels are supported. For example, you can protect the PDF so that readers cannot copy the text from it.
3. PDF bookmarks. Detects headings in the original document and adds corresponding bookmarks in the generated PDF file.
4. Merge PDF files. You can append or insert the content of the document being converted, to an existing PDF file.
5. Shared network PDF printer. nova PDF Server can be installed on one computer in a network environment, and used by any computer in that network (supports also Terminal Servers and Remote Desktop Connections).
6. PDF Overlay. This allows adding the content of the document currently being printed via novaPDF as the background or foreground of an existing PDF file, with options to customize the position of that added content.
7. PDF Watermark. Using this PDF creator you can stamp a PDF with custom text or an image and apply transparency, rotation, opacity, color variation or other effects.
8. Standalone. Does not require GhostScript or other 3rd party software to create PDF files so you can make PDF files right after you have novaPDF installed.
9. PDF links support. Any visible text that starts with "http://", "www", "mailto:", "ftp://" or "file://" in your original document can be converted to clickable active PDF links if you choose so.
10. PDF/A compliance. Creates PDF files compliant with the PDF/A-1b specification for RGB colorspace thus can be used for long-term archiving of documents in PDF format.
11. Document information. Possibility to set the title, subject, author, keywords for the PDF.
12. Support for TrueType and OpenType fonts. To ensure portability you can embed fonts in the PDF file.
13. Private profiles. Define profiles for future use, each with its own settings for page size, resolution, fonts, compression, document info and save settings.
14. Public profiles. These profiles are created on the PDF server computer and are automatically propagated to all client computers.
15. Import/Export profiles. The printing profiles can be exported or imported into different installations, so that you can easily transfer them from one computer to another.
16. Multi-language support. The user interface is translated in more than 20 languages.
17. Send PDF via email. Can be configured to send the generated PDF automatically via email.
18. Reduce PDF file size. This PDF creator supports text and image compression, conversion and image downsampling.
19. After save actions. Custom actions can be defined to be performed after the PDF was successfully generated, such as opening (or not) the PDF file with the default viewer once it's created, or running a custom application with given parameters.
