Resource Tuner Console 1.70

Resource Tuner Console 1.70 allows users to automate batch editing of resources embedded in 32 and 64-bit Windows executables. This command-line resource editor allows using VBScript to create a repeatable process for updating and customizing resources during the final stage of the build process, or at any time you wish to make modifications of file version information on existing Windows EXE or DLL files without needing to recompile the source code. The program is well suited for integrating into your build system, and takes the drudgery out of manual editing and repetitive tasks.

All the functionality of Resource Tuner Console is called from within your VBScript. Resource Tuner Console fully supports Unicode and lets you add, edit or delete strings and XML application manifests in multiple languages, swap icons and bitmaps, update version information for several hundred files at once, and more. Sample scripts illustrated the main features can be found within the Resource Tuner Console package. RTC handles a variety of different 32-bit PE ("portable executable") file types, including .EXE, .DLL, .SCR, .CPL, Device Drivers (.SYS), OCX Controls, and Borland Libraries (.dpl and .bpl). Whenever large numbers of files have to be processed or to be accessible through scripting, you need Resource Tuner Console.

9. Update Checksum: Use the UpdateChecksum property to to enable/disable updating the checksum in the PE file header.
10. Rebase Image:The RebaseImage procedure will let your DLLs have their image base set manually to avoid conflicts when your application loads a few DLLs having the same base address.
11. Update DateTime Stamp: Use the UpdateDateTimeStamp procedure for changing the TimeDate Stamp and setting every field in the PE file header, export and resource sections to the adjusted TimeDate Stamp.
12. Create Resource Section: If your file has no resources at all, Resource Tuner Console will help you create the resource section and add the desired resources. Use the CreateResources function to add the resource section to a file which was compiled without resources.
13. Strip Empty Resource Section: Use the StripEmptyResSection property to enable/disable deletion of the empty resource section when saving the file.
14. UPX Unpacker: When you process a file with RTC, the UPX Unpacker plug-in detects whether this file is packed with UPX, and then unpacks it automatically. All versions of UPX are supported, from the obsolete early versions (prior to 0.80) up to the latest version 3.03.
