- Full SQL Server 2005 support. We provide full support for all SQL Server 2005’s significant innovations, including the CLR objects, database triggers, data types (xml, max-types), xml indexes, xml columns, schemas, etc;
- Support of different synchronization sources. When necessary, you can use a backup, detached database files or a snapshot as a source database. For your convenience SQL Examiner compares a live database with a previous backup, without even restoring it.
- Partial synchronization. The tool allows you to synchronize separate columns or constraints in a table without editing the script manually, e.g. you can select just two of three columns that differ in the tables you are comparing;
- "Smart" script-generating engine prevents mistakes from happening and a possible data loss. Before you compare, the tool verifies the success of replication of the objects’ changes and displays a warning in case of a trouble. When there are several options for conversion, you can choose the most suitable one;
- Wide opportunities in configuring the comparison options. By default, the most common options are selected. However, you still have a wide range of settings to cover your specific needs;
- Tracing links between objects allows you to select one object, while at the same time the objects dependent on it are automatically included in the resulting script;
- Taking data into account. While synchronizing the database schema, SQL Examiner takes the data in the target database into account (optionally), e.g. before adding a UNIQUE constraint to a column, the tool checks to make sure that the values are really UNIQUE and sounds a warning if it discovers a disparity;
- Sophisticated script execution. As both speed and accuracy are important, SQL Examiner passes over non-critical errors in order to complete the synchronization. When synchronization is completed, you can look through a list of performed tasks and analyze the errors;
- High scalability. The databases you need to compare may consist of any number of objects; and
