Windows Std Serial Comm Lib for dBase 4.4 is Visual dBase RS232 serial port communications component library.

Windows Std Serial Comm Lib for dBase 4.4 is developer tool that can be used by programs written in all supported computer languages. Purchase a developer license for a specific product for one software language and use the same registered DLLs with all other supported languages for that product (i.e., purchase SEE4C and use the DLLs with SEE4VB since all versions of SEE use the same DLLs (SEE16.DLL or SEE32.DLL). The examples provided with each software version are developed and tested using the specified computer environment language. 

Major Features:

  1. Supports 256 ports, control multiple ports simultaneously, fully thread safe, modem control, serial line status and control,ASCII/XMODEM/YMODEM.
  2. Uses the standard Windows API to communicate with any device connected to a serial port (scale, modem, fingerprint scanner, printer servers, etc).
  3. State driven Xmodem and Ymodem on multiple ports simultaneously (up to 256 connections).
  4. Send Windows messages on completion of events (incoming character, etc.).
  5. Supports virtual serial ports (USB to serial converter, Bluetooth serial).
  6. Includes multiple Visual dBase example programs. Includes both 32-bit (WSC32.DLL) and 16-bit (WSC16.DLL) versions.
  7. Use with all versions of Visual dBase.
  8. Not depend on support libraries.
  9. Makes calls to Windows API functions only.
  10. Use with C/C++/C#, Delphi, PowerBASIC, Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro, Xbase++, and COBOL.
  11. Can be ordered with or without C source code for the DLL. Free technical support and updates for one year.
  12. Requires Visual dBase. Supports Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista. The evaluation version of WSC4DB is fully functional and can be downloaded from http://www.marshallsoft.com/wsc4db.htm.

Enhancements: Added function to change TX and RX timeouts.
