WordScale Text Capture Engine SDK 2.1.1.48

The WordScale API provides an easy to use set of functions to extract
text from any window. The text grabbed with Wordscale can be returned in RTF or plain text format.
WordScale captures:
- The entire text of a window using WSGetWindowText,
- A rectangle area of a window using WSGetWindowTextFromRect,
- A word from a point on the window using WSGetWindowTextFromPoint
- An entire line of text from a point on the window using WSGetLinetextFromPoint.
- The current selection can be obtained using WSGetLineTextFromPointSel.
WordScale API provides functionality so text can be extracted from the screen easily using the mouse or other input device.
Text can be extracted from a user selected rectangle using the WSSelectRect API or text can be extracted from a window using the Window finder APIs WSChooseWindowFinder or WSChoosePointFinder.
The WordScale APIs can be used from a variety of applications and languages such as Visual C++ applications, Visual Studio .Net applications using C#, VB# etc. and Visual Basic applications.

Captures text from the following application types:
- All Windows Applications
- Adobe Acrobat Reader and Professional.
- Command Prompt Applications.
- All Dialog Boxes, Error Message Boxes and Message Boxes.
- Text can be saved in plain text or Rich Text Format (RTF) so all text attributes are retained e.g. Color, Size and Font.
- WordScale provides a COM interface which is accessible using: C++, C#, VB# .Net.
- Text capture is extremely fast using our Font Based Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology.
- WordScale SDK includes a set of APIs to select text from screen using mouse or other pointing device.

- WordScale on Windows 2000 requires Internet Explorer 6 or higher.
