Backup Watcher for Interbase - Make backup copies automatically, from any computer connected to the local net Backup Watcher for Interbase is intended for making database backups of the Interbase-family server. Backup process can be carried out from the local computer as well as using the remote server in the local net or in the Internet.
The program has the built–in and easily-customized scheduler, thanks to which it is now possible not only to make "manual" backup but also to customize the scheduler in such a way, that the program will automatically backup the specified databases daily, weekly, monthly or once on the established time.
After the installation the Backup Watcher for Interbase places its icon into the system tray, and after minimization of the main form the program "removes" itself from the Windows taskbar. It is very convenient, especially if the program is used on the server as an agent, which is constantly started, and in certain time and with the established frequency carries out backup.
All adjustments of the program are saved automatically into the INI-file and are restored at the next launch. Thats why, in the case when it is necessary to use the program for the regular backuping of all or several databases it is recommended (having adjusted the scheduler beforehand) to launch the utility either together with the Interbase server or when starting Windows (having placed the icon of the program into the folder Autostart).
This program also provides an opportunity of archiving backup files after carrying out of the backup. This will allow to reduce considerably the place on a hard disk, occupied by these files.
