- Disk Viewer - is designed to assist a skilled person in assessing the volume condition. It provides search, navigation, and view augmentation for the most common on-disk structure formats.
- Supported filesystems are FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS (all versions)
- Provides limited ext2 (Linux filesystem) support
- Recovers hardware RAID0 & RAID5
- Validation engine - checks files on disk before recovery to see which are broken and which are not. Supports limited set of files, mostly system types
- Following is the list of file formats known to the current version of the Data Validation Engine (BringBackTM 2.1), in no particular order
- Digital image file recovery from digital cameras
- Runs on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003
- May run from CD, i.e. does not need to write to the disk
