MaxiVista turns any spare PC into an extra monitor for your primary PC Program windows can be extended across both PCs screens, while the programs are still all controlled from the primary PC. Simply connect up to four PCs via Ethernet, a wireless LAN, FireWire, or a USB network and enjoy giant desktop real estate of up to 7,680x1,200 pixels.
The extra desktop space helps to avoid switching back and forth between overlapping windows. Additionally, MaxiVista allows to control up to four PCs with a single mouse and keyboard of the Primary PC. Just drag the mouse cursor to the PC you wish to control.
MaxiVista can also mirror the display contents of your primary PC to any other PC via a network connection without signal loss. MaxiVista is based only on software. No need to buy graphics cards, monitors or keyboard mouse switches

Primary PC requirements
The primary PC is the computer which desktop area is being extended:
- Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista x86 or XP/2003 x64
- Approximately 5 MB hard-disk space
- Optional: Internet access to download future product updates
Secondary PC requirements
The secondary PC is the computer which shall act as the extended monitor:
- Windows 98/ME/2000/2003/XP/Vista x86 or Windows XP/2003 x64
- VGA card with 16 bit color depth or more (>65.000 colors)
- Not officially supported: Linux with Wine or MacOS X with VirtualPC
- Approximately 1 MB hard-disk space
General requirements
- At least two computers are required. There is no use for MaxiVista in a single computer environment.
- Each computer must have at least one monitor
- Local TCP/IP network connection
Version restrictions:
- The demo version runs for 14 days after first installation, 50 program launches and no later than the end of September 2006
- The Mirroring feature and support of multiple monitors is not included in the demo version. You can get an idea about the Mirroring performance anyway as it is equal to the performance of the extended screen
- Only one installation of the demo version is possible in a network group. The full versions allows unlimited amount of installations within a network group
- Only one extended screen is supported (The Pro/Mirror Pro Edition support up to 3 monitors or 3 secondary PCs)
- The demo includes a splash screen and demo background window which is both removed in the full versions
