RENAME FILES - Allows you to rename files in a very convinient way RENAME FILES allows you to rename files in a very convinient way!
The RENAME FILESs main idea is that editing the names of the files may be as easy as editing text files.
Using text boxes for the old names and the new names allows you to do that. The files are renamed by using corresponding lines from both text boxes.
For each line in the old names text box, the file with that name in the specified folder is renamed to the name in the corresponding line from the new names text box.
Additional functionality is provided to make the process even more convinient.
You can add or remove numbering for the files, edit the file extensions, replace and remove strings from the names, trim and fix the case of the names, and populate the names with a specified string.
If you need even more functionality, you can copy the contents of the text boxes in another application, edit it, and copy it back. For example, you can use Excel to do some sophisticated formulas for the names.
