SYNERGIX Time Zone is a Windows application that allows a user to change the time zone without granting membership to the ADMINISTRATORS or POWER USERS group.
By design, on a Microsoft® Windows™ based PC, users are not permitted to launch the Date and Time properties windows by double clicking on the system tray icon, to change the system time or the time zone. This is the desired configuration to meet the requirements of NASD Rule 6953 (see related links). However, this can also restrict the user, specifically an international traveler, from changing the time zone. Although Microsoft Time Zone utility displays specific time zones, it does NOT allow a regular user to change the time zone, thus impacting the time display in applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes and other business applications.
