A desktop search user interface, called Visual Desktop Search (VDS), has been designed and implemented to enable the capabilities of Microsoft Windows Desktop Search (WDS).
Visual Desktop provides facilities allowing you to search for information stored on your computer, such as emails in Microsoft Office Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express, as well as documents, music files and photos.
Main features:
- List based results, including showing "keywords in context" (ie. hilighting the search terms within the search results).
- Various options for ordering and grouping the search results.
- Search query filtering features, including suggestions based upon the available metadata.
- Visualization of search results.
