Cloud Drive Storage Service 0.0.32.28 is developed as a break through in Cloud Storage which brings the unlimited space of cloud storage solutions, but with the speed, availability and reliability of a local SAN solution. The Cloud Drive Data Storage Service acts as a gateway to the cloud storage provider. In most cases, the Cloud Drive Data Storage Service is actually faster than a regular network drive while having the unlimited space of a cloud solution. The Cloud Drive Data Storage Service allows you to easily deploy cloud storage anywhere within the home or office. The Cloud Drive Data Storage Service supports the iSCSI protocol. iSCSI drives are supported by Windows, Linux and Apple. In addition, Windows and Linux based PDAs can also take advantage of this technology.

1. What makes this different? With other cloud storage solutions, you are limited by the bandwith and availability of your cloud storage provider.  Upload rates to Amazon S3 and Microsoft Azure are typically 1 to 20 Mb/s.  The Cloud Drive Data Storage Service performs most requests at 1Gb/s.  Thats over 1000 times faster than by using the services directly.
2. What is the availability? Because of extensive caching, the Cloud Drive Data Storage Service improves your data availability by at least 2 orders of magnitude.  Network outages of up to 24 hours can usually go unnoticed.  If your cloud storage provider is guaranteeing 2 x 9's availability, the Cloud Drive Data Storage Service will increase this to 4 x 9's.  Similarly if you are currenlty providing 3 x 9's, the Cloud Drive Data Storage Service will improve this to 5 x 9's
3. Where is my data stored? The Cloud Drive Data Storage Service is a product and not a storage provider in itself.  The Cloud Drive Data Storage Server accelerates requests to the cloud storage provider.  The non-commercial version is limited to connect to Amazon S3 Web services (AWS).  You sign up and configure the Cloud Drive Data Storage Server to use you AWS acccount.  Your data is securely transfered directly from your network to AWS.  No data is transfered or stored at www.clouddrive.com.au.
