Headwind SMS Communicator is an easy-to-use and powerful application which provides your computer with the SMS sending and receiving facility. The software helps to connect your SMS-capable mobile phone or GSM modem to your computer via the serial port and send short messages from the PC. Headwind SMS Communicator is always available in a system tray and may be automatically launched at startup. By several mouse clicks, you can send a short message to any phone number in the world or view the incoming messages. You use your own number so this is a good way for intensive messaging (SMS chat or birthday messages).
The software has many unique capabilities, such as the support of long SMS and WAP Push messages, instant notification on incoming messages, understanding of non-Latin (UNICODE) letters. Headwind SMS Communicator automatically configures your GSM modem and determines the best mode for sending and receiving SMS, which makes it very flexible and appropriate for every model of GSM modem or mobile phone. User-friendly error handling will help you to configure the SMS facility manually in the case of problems with the modem.
Headwind SMS communicator may be used in many ways. You can chat with your friends without boring typing messages on a tiny handset keyboard. A bulk SMS messaging may be performed, since an address book is available and sending text messages to several addresses is allowed (note that messages are billed per address). If you are working as a dispatcher, you can notify remote personnel on recent tasks by SMS or send the important information to your customers (mobile marketing services).
