Memeo AutoSync will let you synchronize between the folders on your computers, USB keychain drives, hard disks, network drives and more. Whenever you insert your device or when you reconnect to your network folder, new and updated fields are automatically copied both directions.

Renames and deletes of folders and documents on either side are repeated on the other, meaning you don’t have to worry about which folders are missing certain files. The entire sync process is automatically bidirectional and symmetrical.

It doesn’t matter where your computers are at—Memeo AutoSync lets you quickly and easily synchronize your selected files, including the exact number of files and subfolders as well as the content of those files. For example, let’s say at the end of the workday, you want to continue working at home on your desktop computer. With Memeo AutoSync, you can simply plug in a memory device and sync it with the desired work files.

Then, when you return home insert that memory device into your home computer and automatically access the latest work files. The next time you return to work, insert the memory device into your office computer and sync up the files. You’ll immediately have all the files you worked at home right on your desktop at work.

With Memeo AutoSync, a user “pairs” two folders on a PC, laptop, USB flash drive, portable hard drive, iPod, NAS, or some other device. All the files and subfolders in those two folders are copied to the other folder. For example, in the case where you have five files in folder A and none in folder B, the five files in folder A are copied to folder B. In the case where you have five files in folder A and six in folder B, five files will be copied from folder A to folder B and six files will be copied from folder B to folder A leaving eleven identical files in each folder.

During a first-time sync, files with newer timestamps will override older files. With subsequent syncs, Memeo AutoSync will automatically keep track of file changes and copy those new or modified files to the other folder.

During subsequent syncs, Memeo AutoSync will override a file *only* if it is safe. Memeo AutoSync will consider a sync to be unsafe if a file has been modified on both locations since the last sync. In such cases, AutoSync will make a copy of the file using a different name.
