New Folder Wizard 1.1

New Folder Wizard 1.1 is considered as a smart and useful utility for you. If you've ever had to manually create large numbers of new folders you know how time consuming and frustrating it can be. New Folder Wizard can help you create thousands of folders quickly and easily.

Options include numbering the folders, prefix and suffix text, zero padding, and using a text file as the source for folder names. Use this program to help you organize images or other files of your choice by easily creating the folders for you. Using the text file option makes new folder creation as easy as typing. Or, if you use an external program like Microsoft Excel you can create your own naming and incrementing scheme.

Major Features:

1. Support for comment lines in text files used as folder name source. Use up to 4 characters of your choice. All text after those characters on each line will be ignored. This feature is optional.
2. You can now drag & drop into the target folder and text file text boxes. (To select your target folder or optionally source text file for folder names.)
3. Two constants can now be used in the prefix and suffix text: %D and %T. These will insert the CURRENT short date and time respectively. Note: The "/" (forward slash)character in the date is replaced wiht a "-" (single dash) and the ":" (colon) character in the time is simply removed automatically.
4. No install necessary. As long as you have the Microsoft.NET runtime files (Windows XP SP2 or higher, including all versions of Vista) you can run this program anywhere. Even from a flash drive.
5. Include a prefix and suffix for your directory names. Put anything you want before and/or after your custom numbering.
6. Use a text file for your directory names. Simply open up your favorite text editor, type in all the directory names you want and use that text file as the source for your new folders. No more right clicking > New > Folder over and over in Windows!
7. Pad zero's automatically or up to 16 digits.
8. Create up to 20,000 new folders at a time.
9. Use custom prefix and/or suffix along with custom folder names coming from a text file.
10. Preview all of your new folders before you commit to creating them. Built-in preview functionality.
11. Copy your generated folder names to the clipboard. Using this option you can save the list as a text file, further modify the list to meet your needs and import it again using New Folder Wizard. The options are endless.

Requirements:

• Microsoft.NET runtime 2.0. If you have Windows XP SP2 or greater, or any version of Windows Vista you will already have these files on your PC. No need to install them separately.
