Adobe Premiere Update 6.01

Adobe Premiere Update 6.01 is a useful tool which provides fixes to known issues in Premiere 6.0. It fixes a problem that affected PAL playback from the timeline and resulted in pixel aspect ratio being incorrectly set. It corrects a problem that prevented DC-30 users from playing from the timeline. While performance is improved, the DC-30 is not a certified board for use with Premiere 6. There are improvements to the ability to play DV from the timeline without dropping frames. Although the ability to play and capture files successfully depends largely on the performance of your computer hardware, Adobe has improved the way Premiere handles files to decrease dependence on hardware performance. There is a correction to difficulties in reading Premiere files with Sony DV Gate. If you use unnumbered markers in the timeline and enter text into the marker properties, you may now use an equal sign without problems. Previously, any text after the equals sign was lost. There is a correction to allow users of RS-422 device control to use the time code offset field when capturing. This field is not applicable to users of DV. There are improvements to preview file management. Premiere will not erroneously delete video preview files when showing/hiding preview files.

4. Rough cut dialogue faster than ever: Find the right spot in your footage fast — without tedious scrubbing. Instead, let Speech Search generate a transcript of recorded dialogue, and then quickly navigate to key words and phrases.
5. Move more quickly between Adobe Premiere Pro and Encore: Eliminate intermediate rendering when moving sequences into Adobe Encore® CS4. Adobe Dynamic Link enables sequences to open "live" in Encore, with any changes made in Adobe Premiere Pro automatically reflected.
6. Boost productivity with batch encoding: Automate the process of creating multiple encoded versions of your source files and sequences by using Adobe Media Encoder, included with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. Set priorities and adjust advanced settings for individual files in your batch.
7. Discover more than 50 other ways to increase efficiency: Take advantage of more than 50 of the most requested editing enhancements to make your workflow more efficient.
