Flash Video Studio 4.0 Build 4002 is written to be a simple and intuitive tool which enables you to convert most video files into Adobe Flash SWF and FLV. It produces high quality output and offers a lot of unique and useful features.

3. Flash 8 + Alpha with Chroma Keying Tools
   • It is now possible to add a transparency to your video using the new Flash 8 + Alpha video format. What does it mean for you? You can then overlay the published video on top of another video or another SWF animation and part of your video which are set to be transparent will reveal the content underneath it.

4. New Video Control support multiple videos with Playlist
   • You can now publish a list of video (through batch publish) together with a playlist XML and new navigation controls which can play multiple videos through the playlist
5. Insert events/cue points and click action
   • Set events/cue points within the video timeline to easily synchronize your video and flash animation using Flash authoring tools. You can also add a click action to open a website address.
6. Thumbnail JPEG Snapshot
   • You can now make a snapshot from any frame within your video as a JPEG file. You can also choose to automatically generate this JPEG snapshot whenever you publish your video.
7. Add Chapter List To Your Videos
   • You can now add a list of chapter to your video which serves as shortcut to particular time in your video. Viewer can click on any of the chapter within the chapter list to jump to the relevant video time.
8. Add animated logos, images, and text watermark
   • You can decide when the watermark will appear, determine the position and apply a fade in/out effect.
   • It also supports transparent images such as PNG and GIF. You can use a GIF animation to make an animated logo watermark.
9. Add a customizable movie navigation control
   • Choose to publish a movie with or without a navigation control. Flash Video Studio offers a list of cool controls for both SWF and FLV video. You can customize the navigation control by turning on/off specific buttons or changing its color settings to suit your style. Here are some examples :

12. Video range selection and quality adjustment
    • Flash Video Studio allows you to select a range within a video timeline to publish, so you dont need other software
    • You can set the video quality manually or simply choose from the list of common settings such as: Dial up 56.6k, ISDN, ADSL, etc.
13. Mix a secondary soundtrack
    • Flash Video Studio allows you to add another soundtrack and mix it with the published video.

14. Command line interface
    • It is now possible to automate the video export process via a command line interface. Flash Video Studio allows you to pass a script file containing instruction on what video to publish and what publish settings to use. Everything you can do within the Flash Video Studio 2.0 can also be done automatically via this script file. You can also save your project as a script file so that you can easily learn the script syntax.
15. Built-in FTP upload tool
    • Flash Video Studio has a built-in FTP upload tool to upload the published movie file. You can set it to always upload the movie every time you publish your project.
16. On-Demand Preloading
    • You can now make your video to load/buffer only after user click on it, just like YouTube. This way you can put as many video as you want in one page without worrying that all of them are loaded at the same time as soon as the webpage is loaded. Only the one user click will be loaded. All unloaded videos will automatically show JPEG thumbnails (customizable).
17. Batch publish and upload
    • Publish multiple video files at once. This may include applying a watermark, compressing, video trimming, adjusting the dimension and the frame rate, plus uploading the result to your FTP site.
18. Subtitles/Close Captions
    • It is now possible to add subtitle into your video. Multi language channels are supported. Meaning you can add more than one language channel which can be selected by viewer at playback.
19. Fullscreen Video Playback
    • You can now add a fullscreen button to your navigation control which will play your video in a fullscreen mode. The fullscreen mode is using a new Flash Player direct screen rendering technology which makes it faster to render video on fullscreen size. This feature can be selected in Customize Navigation Control Window.
20. Rotate and Crop Your Videos
    • You can now define a cropping area within your video to be published. This is useful if you only want to publish an area within your videos without the need to crop and re-encode them using other software.
    • Rotating your video 90 degree left/right is also a useful features. Frequently you rotate your camera/handheld device to make a portrait/tall video. Now you do not need to rotate them using other software before importing them into Flash Video Studio.

• • Import videos taken with your handheld device (mobile phone, blackberry, IPhone, IPod, IPad) easily and publish them online.
• Support more AVI, WMV, ASF Video
• • Previous version may have some problem with 25% of DirectShow video (AVI, WMV, ASF, DIVX, XVID) which causes freezes and crashes. This version has been tested in our lab is able to encode 100% of our test videos as long as you have the CODEC installed and you are able to play the video in Windows Media Player or QuickTime player.
• Import DVD VOB Files
• • Yes you heard right. Flash Video Studio 4.0 can now import VOB file and encode them into Flash Video. No need to purchase additional DVD to Flash converter tools.
• Support Quicktime Movie with AAC Encoding
• • Quicktime Movie with AAC encoding which normally does not get supported by most Video Converter Software is now supported.
• More Robust and Reliable Video Editing
• • Editing process has been rewritten from scratch by adopting new video instance sharing technology between tabs which means faster video import, faster switching between tabs and GUI response and more importantly more stable. Single instance video sharing also means better utilization of non standard CODEC which fixes the problem with multiple FFDShow codec icon pops up in system tray.
• Built-in VP6 Flash 8 Codec

• Deinterlace
• • You can now deinterlace an interlaced video easily which improves the video quality. Interlace is a method to reduce video bandwidth by mixing 2 video frames into one image by laying the first image in the odd rows and second image in the even rows. It cuts the bandwidth by almost half however produces interlacing/horizontal stripes effect when you observe the video carefully.
• Better Video and Sound Bitrate Control
• • You can now control the sound encoding bitrate. Preset video quality also works much better at allocating bitrate depending on chosen settings.
