OpenVIP (Open Video Processor) is a cross-platform, highly modular non-linear video editor and video processing library.
OpenVIP consists of two parts:
- OpenVIP core. You can use it for processing multimedia files from command line, or as a C++ library linked with your code.
- OpenVIP editor. It provides a user-friendly GUI to the core and is based on the timeline concept - you place multimedia files on the timeline, apply filters, transitions, ...
Main features:
- Support for AVI, MPEG, MP3 formats (codecs from the ffmpeg project are used) and sequences of bitmap files
- A lot of nice plugins including geometric distortions, colour transformations, basic sound processing and transitions between two clips
- A simple interface for developing your own plugins in C++
