River Past PlayDV is a easy-to-use and flexible DV player.
Now you can view your DV tape on your PC! PlayDV gives you the full control over the DV camcorder connected to your PC via 1394 iLink connection. You can play, pause, stop, rewind, fast forward, step backward, and step forward the tape the same way you control a VCR.
River Past PlayDV is a tool that allows you to playback DV camcorder on your PC.
Comparing to other software which limits the viewing area to a tiny thumbnail, PlayDV gives you a resizable playback window. You can maximize for the finest detail, or make it small so you can do your other productive work at the same time.
PlayDV supports hog plugs. You can connect and disconnect the camcorder and it will detect the change automatically.

System requirements:
- River Past PlayDV is tested to run on any PC with a Pentium III/Celeron CPU of 500 MHz or above. A 1394 FireWire (iLink) card and a sound card is required.
- River Past PlayDV requires DirectX 8.0 or above. We strongly recommend that you always use the latest the latest DX (currently 9.0b) because it provides better stability and performance.
Version restrictions:
- The unregistered version limits video to 320x240
- The recording is limited to 2 minutes
