Benetl 2.6

Benetl 2.6 is a free ETL tool for files working with postgreSQL 8.3, which is a freeware you can freely download, use and redistribute.

This release is a mature one, you can use in a production mode.
Benetl is an ETL tool developped in 2007 and 2008, written in JAVA and working with a postgreSQL database. Benetl is used with .csv or .txt or .xls datasource files.
Benetl website has been launched in late november 2007. Version of Benetl, the free ETL tool, in download is version 2.6 (03/17/2009). A version for Linux is now available !

Major Features:

1. In order to retrieve data, defining an entity (something you would like to show, to calculate), a date (it is a timesamp, a moment an event appears).
2. Creating everything you can use, in a postgreSQL database.
3. proposing an automatic way to retrieve data, using scheduled tasks of your system.
4. Easily retrieving information from flat data files, filtering them and organizing them, according to date (timestamp) and entity.

Requirements:

1. Java 5 update 1.5.16
2. Postgresql 8.3.0 with plpgsql support
   
3. Running under Windows ("scheduled tasks" is used)
   
4. Benetl 2.5 works on Linux (a version for Linux is available in download section)
