FMF Skin Creator is a software for creating new menu skins for Flash Menu Factory (FMF) FMF Skin Creator is a flash web design related application that was developed to let you create new menu skins for Flash Menu Factory (FMF).
We can summarize the procedure of creating a menu skin for FMF in the following steps:
1. Click on the FMF Skin Creator Shortcut on your desktop.
2. Open FMF Skin Creator and select "New" (from menu File>New or from the toolbar ). Select the type of skin you want to create (Horizontal, Vertical or Tabs) and give a name for it. FMF Skin Creator will create a new skin and will store all the needed files in a new folder.
3. Select the type of skin menu you want to create and enter a name for it.
4. Open your flash authoring software and create a flash file for each flash element of the skin (click here to learn how). Export these flash files in "Flash Player 7" format into your skins folder (usually "C:Programs FilesFMF Skin CreatorskinsName Of Your Skin").
5. Go back to FMF Skin Creator and click "Preview" button to see the new skin you have created. You may have to adjust some properties of the skin in order meet your needs. Click the "Save" icon to save your skin and click "Install Skin" to add the new skin to your Flash Menu Factory collection. You can also upload you skin to our website so other users can download and install it.
FMF skin consists of 10 flash (swf) files. In order to create a new skin you must change these files using a flash authoring software like Macromedias Flash. FMF Skin Creator then will combine these files along with your settings and create a new skin.
Things you have to consider when you creating skins flash files:
- Flash background color does not affect the skin. FMF will ignore it and assume flash file has a transparent background.
- Export your flash file in "Flash Player 7" format.
- If you import an image then from "Bitmap Properties" select "Lossless (PNG/GIF)" compression and check "Allow smoothing".
- You can expand your flash animation outside the stage (dimensions) of the flash. This gives you new creativity options.
