HtmlIndex 1.0 description

HtmlIndex regularly monitors specified directories creating an index of common Microsoft Office files in HTML format. The index is built using properties embedded in each of these documents to extract for example:
  • Document name
  • Document number
  • Edition
  • Release date
  • Author
Creating the index using HTML allows you online access via a web server. Links automatically embedded into the index provides you direct access to these documents.

You can configure HtmlIndex to either generate a separate index for each monitored directory or to generate a single index comprising all monitored directories.

You have the flexibility to associate any document property to an index column. HTML templates allow you to embed the index into your own web pages. (Not available in lite version).

HtmlIndex runs unobtrusively in the system tray. Right click the icon to access the quick menu or to launch the control window.
