PicsToPage 1.0

The PicsToPage was designed to be a small utility that takes folder path as input and produces an HTML web page. The created page contains img tags for each of the files in that folder with matching extensions (by default the app pays attention to files ending in "jpg" or "gif." The purpose of the utility is to be able to quickly create web pages with pictures for posting on-line.

While working on images, the utility "cleans" files names by replacing any character other than alphanumeric or a hyphen or a dot or an underscore with an underscore, to make the file name web-friendly. The app does not alter the contents of the file.

The following parameters of a web page can be manipulated: html file name, web page title, charset. Stylesheet declaration and doctype can be added as well. In addition, the page supports adding google script to the resulting HTML page. Also, the app can support other file extensions, just add them to the lowest text box (separate from others by semicolon). The program can also have more charsets, just add them to the charsets.txt file (one per line).
