XStandard is a useful and the most advanced, standards-based XHTML WYSIWYG editor available.
It is designed for easy integration into browser or Windows-based content management systems that support ActiveX.
XStandard manages rich content in any language and generates clean XHTML Strict / 1.1 markup with no deprecated tags, and without running code clean-up routines.
It has a customizable toolbar and supports popular editing features including tables, lists, links, floats, and custom tags.
The editor uses CSS for formatting and makes applying CSS fast, easy and accurate. XStandard has a unique "Screen Reader Preview" mode and requires alt texts and summaries for images and tables, distinguishes between data and layout tables, and between decorative and informative images.
The "Lite" version of XStandard is free for commercial use. XStandard "Pro" also includes a spell checker and enhanced Web services (SOAP), used for drag & dropping files into the editor, referencing shared files in remote libraries, and communicating with third-party applications.
