Prayers Gadget 2.8

Prayers Gadget 2.8 is described as a handy, smart and effective Windows sidebar gadget which is able to display Islamic prayer times, Qibla direction, Hijri calendar, and special Islamic events. Azan sound is played at each prayer time along with a customizable reminder before Azan. The Gadget has an offline database of 2,000+ cities worldwide, and if an Internet connection is available at install time, the Gadget can automatically detect the user's location using a larger database of 290,000+ cities worldwide. The prayer time calculator is highly configurable allowing for multiple calculation methods, along with the possibility of fine tuning individual prayer times. The Gadget can also read a prepared prayer timetable from a CSV file. 

1. Abbreviated Docked View
   • Use your gadget in the docked mode if your screen resolution is small, so that the gadget does not occupy a big real-estate of your screen.
   • The steps to dock and undock your gadget are explained in the FAQ page.
2. Undocked Horizontal View
   • Use your gadget in the undocked mode for more infrmation. In this view you have access to all prayer times of the day arranged in a beautiful horizontal view, along with an analog clock, and a status bar for notification messages. This is the default view of the gadgte.
3. Undocked Vertical View
   • Use your gadget in the undocked mode for more infrmation. In this view you have access to all prayer times of the day arranged in a beautiful vertical view, along with a digital clock, and a status bar for notification messages.
4. Undocked Extensive 5 Day View
   • Use your gadget in the undocked mode for more infrmation. In this view you have access to all prayer times for five consecutive days starting with the current day. You also receive status bar notification messages.
5. Hijhri and Gregorian Calendars
   • In the undocked mode, you can also see the Hijri and Gregorian calendars, with the current day marked on the calendar. You can also browse through the different months of the year.
6. Qibla Direction
   • In the undocked mode, you can see the Qibla direction for the designated city/country. The Qibla direction is calculated using the Great Circle Bearing method.
7. Special Events
   • In the undocked mode, you can see the Gregorian dates for the following special Islamic events:
   • Hijri Year Start: 1st Muharram of every Hijri year
   • Aashoraa: 10th Muharram of every Hijri year
   • 1st Ramadhan: 1st Ramadhan of every Hijri year (start of fasting)
   • Eid al-Fitr: 1st Shawwal of every Hijri year (break of fasting)
   • 1st Day of Hajj: 8th Thu al-Hijjah of every Hijri year
   • Eid al-Adha: 9th Thu al-Hijjah of every Hijri year
8. Alarm
   • In the undocked mode, you can easily setup an Alarm to wake you up at any time (before or after) the actual prayer time. The alarm repeats daily until you disable it. The Alarm tab shows a nice looking Retro Flip-Down Clock. The volume of the Alarm is louder than that of the Azan volume.
