Typing Speedometer is a widget that will let you measure your typing speed with three modes, Standard WPM which uses the offical measurement of 1 word for every 5 keystrokes, WPM Actual Words which measures the actual number of words typed, and CPM (characters per minute) which measures individual keystrokes instead of words.

Now also features "type anywhere" mode (Windows only) which will measure your typing sped as you write documents, emails or anything else.

The calculation period adjustable to display typing speed after less time, although for more accurate typing speeds I recommend at least a minute.
