You can use the Scheduled Task utility to open the backup program at the desire time, but you can not specify which backup job to run and you can not start the actual backup process without pushing the "start" button. Backup Scheduler 98 schedules existing Backup Sets created in the Microsoft Backup utility. It can also schedule on-screen reminders for off-site storage and related items. Choose the Backup Set or Reminders from the list above and click the Schedule... button to schedule the item. To adjust the schedule of the item, open the Scheduled Tasks utility from the Start menu or by clicking the Open Scheduled Tasks button.<<less

I understand the need for consistency, but I was hoping that given three years Microsoft could have found more ways to improve the user interface. But since they didnt, we thought wed give it a go.
