NetTime 2.0 b7
NetTime is a free and simple time synchronization client for Win32, providing a server and client for RFC868 and SNTP more>>
NetTime is a free and simple time synchronization client for Win32, providing a server and client for RFC868 and SNTP. Its main claim to fame is that it is small, simple and unobtrusive.
Time Servers:
This is a list of servers with which NetTime will synchronize. Each synchronization contacts all the specified servers, so adding servers to the list increases network traffic. Once all servers have been contacted, some number of time values are available.
The number of time values may be less than the number of servers if some of the servers are unreachable. Once all available time values are retrieved, they are used as follows:
- If no values are retrieved, nothing happens.
- If one value is retrieved, the local PCs clock is set to this time.
- If two values are retrieved, the local PCs clock is set to the average of the two values.
- If three or more values are retrieved, the local PCs clock is set to the average of all the values that agree with each other. This allows NetTime to synchronize the clock correctly even if a minority of servers are sending bogus times.
Update Interval:
This is the basic frequency with which NetTime will synchronize the local PCs clock with the time server(s). For example, if this is set to 120, NetTime will synchronize every two minutes.
This might be an appropriate setting when the server is on a local LAN. For servers you are connecting to through the Internet, a higher value would be appropriate to reduce traffic and load on the public servers.
Retry Interval:
This is the frequency with which NetTime makes additional attempts once time synchronization has failed. Do not set this too low if you have a dialup Internet connection, as NetTime will continue to make attempts while your connection is down.
Max Free Run:
This determines how long the local PCs clock is allowed to run unsynchronized before it is considered to have become untrustworthy. When this interval has elapsed since the most recent successful synchronization, NetTime considers itself unsynchronized, draws a red "X" across the desktop icon, and ceases supplying the time to clients.
Warn if Adj Greater:
This determines how large an adjustment NetTime is permitted to make to the local PCs clock before it must warn the user. If NetTime is running as a service and has no connection to the user (for example, when Windows is logged out), it always adjusts the time.
Check "Never Warn" if you want the local clock to be updated no matter what. NetTime makes no special provision for daylight savings time, so if you have warnings enabled and an interval of less than one hour, you will be warned when the time change occurs.
Allow other computers to sync to this computer:
Checking this box causes NetTime to run a server thread that can be synchronized to by other computers running NetTime or compatible software.
If you are installing NetTime on a LAN, the preferred setup is to have one or two computers synchronized to external, authoritative sources, and use these as local servers for the rest of the network.

ABA-X1 1.0
ABA-X1 is an application that calculates mathematical expressions. It has a large number of built-in operators and functions. You can convert exchange rates (currencies). more>>
ABA-X1 is an application that calculates mathematical expressions. It has a large number of built-in operators and functions.
List of operators: +, -, *, /, ^
List of functions: abs, acos, asin, atan, cbrt, ceil, cos, cosh, degrees exp, expm1, floor, log, log10, log1p, rad, radians, rint, round, signum, sin, sinh, sqrt, tan, tanh, ulp. Look at java.lang.Math for a detailled description of these functions.
A function can be typed in with code completion: click with the mouse on the green display and type with the keyboard. Type s and press Ctrl+Space and see what happens. This behaviour is called code completion.
Code compeletion also works for built-in (predefined) constants. Type m and press Ctrl+Space to get a list of atomic weights (remember m like masses).
A atomic weight constant begins with a m and ends with its element symbol. Sample: mCa for Calcium, mS for Sulfur. Type mC and press Strg+Space and see the list of all elements which starts with an C.
Physical constants are also predefined. The prefix is p. Press p and Strg+Space to see the list.
All constants and function can be selected (and inserted) via the menu. Click on the menu button to open the main menu. You will see the sub menus Functions, Vars and Constants. A function, variable or constant will be inserted at the current place (cell) by selecting the menu item.
Click on the = button or (while editing with keyboard) press Strg-Enter to stopp editing and recalculate all expressions.
At the right side of the green display you see variable names. Normaly the name is f1, f2 and so on. Each value of an expression is stored in a variable. These variables can be referenced in other expressions like f1 * 1.16. (You have the possibility to rename a variable by clicking on it.)

wikiCalc 1.0
The wikiCalc program lets you make web pages with more than just paragraphs of prose more>>
wikiCalc is a web design authoring tool that was developed to help you make webpages with more than just paragraphs of prose. It combines the ease of authoring and multi-person editing of a wiki with the familiar visual formatting and calculating metaphor of a spreadsheet. Written in Perl and released under the GPL 2.0 license, it can easily be setup to run on almost any server as a web application or on a personal computer to publish by FTP.
The wikiCalc system lets you create and maintain web pages using a spreadsheet editing metaphor. It works through a browser connected to a web server.
The spreadsheet editing is done in a manner similar to a traditional desktop spreadsheet program but with a web page flavor.
Main features:
- A grid of columns and rows of cells identified as A1, B7, etc.
- Cells containing numeric values, dates and times, strings of text characters, and error and #N/A values
- Formulas with access to over 100 built-in functions including SUM, DSUM, IRR, and IF
- References in formulas that can refer to cell contents in other pages
- Control of the formatting of numeric data including a wide range of currency and date forms as well as custom formats
- Cell and table formatting including font, color, borders, alignment, padding, merged cells, and column width
- Optional hidden cells, rows, and columns
- Commands such as fill, sort, copy, paste, erase, insert/delete rows and columns, and recalculation control
- Import and export with CSV and Tab-delimited text, and other formats
- User interface controlled by either keyboard or mouse clicks
- The ability to start editing a page you are viewing in a browser with a single click on an optional "Edit This Page" link and then quickly return to viewing pages when the editing is completed
- Plain text, HTML, and wiki-style markup rendering for text data
- wiki-style text in cells that can include multiple lines and paragraphs, headings, bold, italics, bulleted lists, etc.
- wiki-style text that includes commands to insert links, images, and values from cell references
- Formula cell references that may be to cells on wikiCalc pages on other websites
- A special wkcHTTP built-in function to access server scripts
- On-demand recalculation during "Live View" web access, including the ability to temporarily modify cell values before calculation
- Templates that are used to "wrap" the main spreadsheet HTML to create a web page, and that may come from a common library or be customized on a per page basis
- Ability to create output to be embedded in other web pages, both static and "live" data
- Cell formatting with access to CSS style capability as well as to using an explicit CSS class
- Custom formats that may have full style settings such as [style=font-weight:bold;color:red] in addition to the normal [RED], etc., color settings, and any number of comparison sections (e.g., "[<<less
