Creates a thumbnail or contact sheet of bmp, gif and jpg files in a Cas is a small, simple and reliable application that creates a thumbnail or contact sheet of bmp, gif and jpg files in a directory.
It will automatically resize the smaller images to make most efficient use of the larger sheet.
One way to use it is to run the exe, and pick a folder you would like to image.
The other way is to run the .reg file in the zip file which puts an extra item
on the menu you get when you right-click a folder in Windows Explorer.
Once the folder has been selected, you can choose some options like output image size, background colour and quality. The larger the JPG quality number, the larger the resultant file will be, but the better quality.

LGI is a GUI framework for abstracting out all the operating system dependencies that you can produce portable code. It handles all the graphical interface functions, threading and semaphores, network connectivity and lots of other bits and peices to help build small, fast and reliable applications.
The strengths of LGI is that its a small enough library that one person can understand it all. Also its not too much of a burden on an application, both in increased download time and memory footprint. LGI at the moment compresses to about 200kb, which while not insignificant is quite a bit smaller than the options.
Fundamentally, however size is a secondary consideration to the core feature of LGI and that is portability. Currently 3 ports exist, Win32, Linux and BeOS.
To Use: Download the latest source, unpack somewhere.
For full graphics and charset support download (or check you already have) iconv, libpng, zlib and libjpeg; then add their include paths to your compilers include paths. Or find the defineds in Lgi.h for the various libraries and set them to 0.
To build:
Win32: Load Lgi/Lgi.dsp into Visual C++ and build it.
Linux: make -f Lgi/Makefile.linux
Cygwin: make -f Lgi/Makefile.win32
Mac: Open Lgi.xcode in XCode and run the build command.

DVDx 2.20 is a helpful tool used to transfer DVD to VCD2.0 or SCVD1.0 or DivX easily (Including multiplexing, splitting) . It is for unexperimented users, it is a simple and intuitive program. You only need Nero to write your VCD/SVCD.
It produces good quality movies in MPEG1/2 format and you don't need to have 5GB or more free on your hard disk.
DVDx produces high quality MPEG and AVI movies and advanced features provide smart settings for experimented users.
DVDx is likely the fastest solution ever to copy a DVD into a DivX file because the DVD reading (and decrypting) is done while encoding to DivX.
Alternative solutions require to copy the DVD to the hard drive with DVD Decrypter (or SmartRipper or any other DVD ripping software) which takes about 30 minutes, and then the encoding time is added. So with a 75FPS encoding speed for a 1:30 PAL (25FPS) movie, the total ripping time of alternative software is 1 hour. While DVDx will take less than 32 minutes (at 72FPS).
On a consumer HP Pavilion with a Intel Pentium 830D, the encoding DVDx frame rate is 72FPS with DivX Pro 6.1.1 and later.
To encode to MPEG VCD/SVCD with the internal encoder or to encode to Windows Media, DVDx is also the fastest solution for the same reason.
- Code improvement:
- fix 698 memory leaks due to multi-language error strings which weren't unallocated and 10 others due to skin objects, 12 others due to heap allocations (new), 62 others due to DVD IFO data structure. And 100s of strings in debug console.
- MPEG-2 encoding:
- added 2 new profiles: CVD (China Video Disc) and DVD (default DVD-LP, 6000Kbps) both with audio 48kHz which must be set in Input Settings dialog.
- set CVD/DVD GOP to 18 frames for NTSC (15 for PAL), so compliant with DVD authoring applications.
- WMV encoding:
- fix charches due to pointer bugs in handling IWM interfaces.
- GUI:
- fixed bug in About dialog box which caused DVDx to crash in Debug/DebugP4 and unpredictable effects in all versions (Release/Release_RipperFree/NoOptim)

- replaced MOVQ xmm,m64 (rejected by VC9 compiler) with MOVQ xmm,qword ptr m64 and MOVQ m64,xmm with MOVQ qword ptr m64,xmm

That notes are usually just temporary since I want to do something with it - like adding telephone number to my phonebook. What I needed was scrap paper. It is similar to notepad which can be brought from tray when needed but has also auto-save thing going on. Just ideal for taking notes.
