This is a free screen saver. It was created using only the highest quality photographs available for the objects in our solar system. You will see the sun, all the planets, many moons, comets and asteroids! You wont find a more attractive screen saver of its kind. There is a nice soundtrack (from Star Trek III, The Wrath of Khan) which is mutable. It has many smooth transition effects. You can change the transitions as well as display length, size, background, order and position settings. You can even change the screen saver mode to collage, slide show, or floating. All of the photos include captions. It can be quite educational. All of the photos for this and my other screen saver, The Interstellar Screen Saver, came from NASA associated sites. I thank NASA and all of their co-horts for making these photos public domain (some other countries and organizations arent so kind with their space photos).

Solar Winds Screensaver is a very mesmerizing particle effects screensaver. Tweak the settings a little and youll find that you can achieve an amazing number of different patterns. You can also connect the particles with lines for a very different effect.

3D Solar System 3.0 offers an application including all the planets and some big moons orbit. It allows to manually select view of planet or moon and the camera takes you there. It includes options like Angle of view, Orbit speed / Zoom. Support 3D or none 3D card and changes of GFX resolution.

This tool will take a random trip around 10,000 stars of our galaxy, and it will be different each time you run it.
Trips will orbit stars at a 5 light years of distance from them, increasing then to 100 light years away from them. As the demo runs, it will take you to further stars, including famous stars, stars with planets, multiple systems and variable stars with real data. Each frame in the simulation equals to one day of time.
Although camera is automatic, you still can control it with mouse movement, but only when orbiting a star (that is when not "travelling" to a star).
Other controls are:
- "L" - Changes language between english and spanish.
- "M" - Turns music on/off.
- "F" - Shows maximum frames per second at screen top-left.
- "Esc" - Press escape to quit.
Star names and data appear and disappear at random. It needs DirectX 9.0c installed, and it is better run with 1024x768 resolution. Turn out the lights and enjoy!
