A windows command line utility used to transcode multichannel wav files into mono wavs more>>
number of channels found.
DTS decoding was made available using libdts from dtsdec source code written by Gildas Bazin with some help from Sam Hocevar which was based on a52dec code with original credits going to Aaron Holtzman and Michel Lespinasse.
Modifications were made to output
mono wavs directly, including LFE output. Currently there is no AC-3 support, but plans for it in the future.

Mono wav output
will be PCM (non extensible), and have the same bit resolution and sample rate as the multichannel source
wav. Supports very large wavs files (> 4GB), including wav extensible format. Supports 2-ch (stereo), up
to 18 channels. If a mono wav is transcoded, the result will be an "empty" or blank wav with the same
characteristics as the source wav.

DTS Transcoding:

Transcoded .dts (48kHz) and DTSWav (44.1kHz) files into 32 bit float mono wavs regardless of the bit
resolution they were originally encoded with. The number of output mono wavs depends on the number
of channels read. There is also a downmix option (/S) to output a 16 bit stereo wav. It does not support DTS ES

What flavor of Ubuntu will I get?
Most flavors, including Ubuntu (default, with GNOME), Kubuntu (with KDE), Xubuntu

What is the difference among the different Ubuntu flavors?
Mostly the graphical user interface is different, and the bundled applications may change so that they better integrate with the installed interface. More information can be found at the homepages for GNOME, KDE, and XFCE.
Can I install multiple flavors?
You can select the desktop environment within Wubi. But since each desktop environment is also available as an application package, it is recommended to install Ubuntu (default option) and from there install the other desktop environments. When you login you can choose the desktop environment to use.
What applications come with Ubuntu?
Ubuntu comes fully loaded with most commonly used applications, including a full office suite compatible with MS office, image editing software, picture management software, media player, games, browser, email client, IM and video conferencing software... On top of all of this, you can easily install additional software, from a list of over 20,000 applications.
System requirements:

The purpose of this program is to recover as much as possible data of damaged, bad burned or scratched CDs or DVDs.
This version is experimental and supports only data CDs and DVDs with sectorsize of 2048 byte - Audio CD, VCD and SVCD are not supported.
How it works:
All readable data is stored in an "ISO" image file which can be read by various software such as "Daemon Tools", "WinRar" (needs iso-plugin) and most burner software like "Nero" etc. Please note, that image files greater 4GB need to reside on a NTFS disk!
Every succsessfully read sector is stored in the image file (*.ISO) and will be marked "good" in the corresponding "flag" file (*.FLG).
If a read error is encountered a dummy sector will be written which will remain marked "bad". In this case a random number of sectors are skipped for faster progress.
Reaching the end of the disk a retry loop will be entered until all sectors have been read or a selectable "Give Up Time" has been reached.
After selecting the "Source" drive and the "Destination" folder the copy process can be started by pressing "Start".
The filenames are taken automatically from the DVDs volume label if available.
The copy process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the "Pause" button and can be continued by pressing "Start" again.
This way You can try to complete Your image file even on different machines with different CD drives - often one drive can read some sectors which are unreadable for an other one.
For using different drives You can share the image file *.ISO (together with the flag file *.FLG) on a network drive or put it on a portable disk (USB).
Import function:
To avoid dealing with very large files You can use the "Import" function:
Assuming that You started on machine "A" and no more data comes from Your DVD.
Copy ONLY (!) the *.FLG file (e.g. via USB stick) to machine "B".
On "B" select "Destination" folder, where the *.FLG is located.
"Start" will create an "import file" *.IMP in the same folder. All readable sectors are now stored here.
After completion on "B" transfer the *.IMP to a location where it is accessible from machine "A".
On "A" it can be merged into the existing *.ISO image with "Import File"

Each process gets 4GB of virtual RAM. Generally, the top 2GB are reserved for use by the operating system. The programmer/user is given access to the lower 2GB. The 4GB space is broken into 4KB pages. This application creates an image that is 1024 x 1024, with a cell for each 4KB page. The pages are either Red (committed to physical RAM), Blue (reserved) or Green (free). Clicking on Reb pages queries the process for the contents of that page - which are then dispayed in the lower window in the dialog. Note that you will not always be able to view the page contents, and sometimes youll just see in the contents box.

Universal Viewer is an advanced file viewer with wide range of formats supported. Implemented view modes and corresponding file formats are:
- Text, Binary, Hex, Unicode: any files, of unlimited size (even 4Gb+ sizes are allowed);
- RTF/UTF-8: RTF and UTF-8 encoded texts;
- Image: all general graphics formats: BMP JPG GIF PNG TGA TIFF... plus all formats supported by IrfanView/XnView external viewers;
- Multimedia: all formats supported by MS Windows Media Player: AVI MPG WMV MP3...;
- Internet: all formats supported by MS Internet Explorer: HTML XML DOC XLS...;
- Plugins: all formats supported by Total Commander Lister plugins.
Application is fully Unicode-compatible and can be integrated into Windows Explorers context menu, so there is no problem to call it from anywhere in Explorer: right-click on a file and select "Universal Viewer" item. It can also be integrated into other popular file managers.
