Palabre software is an open source (and free as in free beer) XML Socket Python Server.
Palabre is meant to be used in replacement (for example) of the Macromedia Flash Communication Server. (which is lets admit it really expensive)
Of course, its much more limited, but has all the basic functionnalities for connecting Flash based Clients through Xml Sockets (sending and receiving messages).
So you can use it to create, multiuser applications like a Chat, (almost) Real Time Flash Games, Online support, ...
Palabre does not include Video streaming functions ( FLV via RTMP ) instead of Flash Communication Server.
Main features:
- Have multiple Rooms
- Each Room can have any parameter you want ( A title, a lock, operators, any flag, ...)
- The creator of the room can change this parameters
- The room can have Sub rooms (or child rooms)
- For Example, you can host 10 games and chats on a server, and each game has a lobby room for chatting, and as many subrooms as wanted. Players can chat, start a new game, wait for people to join, and then start the game. (Then the child room of the game can be "locked" so that no one else joins it.

XUpload is an advanced progress bar indicator for web based file uploads written on Perl. XUpload lets you to accept file uploads on your website and shows upload progress bar which is showing upload progress in real-time. Upload progress bar could be shown in popup window or right on the upload page. It also shows upload progress in percents, upload speed (kb/s), elapsed and remaining time, size of uploading files (useful when uploading multiple files). You can stop file upload process by just pressing stop button. If file transfer will fail during upload process - error message will be shown.
XUpload will work on any hosting, virtual/shared or dedicated and on all platforms driven by Apache Web Server - Linux or Windows.
There will be no problem with integration of XUpload with your login system because XUpload will "pass" all parameters through itself. In other words - its absolutely "transparent" to any environment and could be integrated with any framework: PHP, JSP, etc. The only one thing needed - Apache web server and Perl installed. No Flash, AJAX or Java needed - pure Perl and DHTML is used.

SimpleScan contains four examples of a port scanning tool.
Best example is the Scan_ms_OK which uses many winsock objects and simultaneous scanning.
The other three examples use only one winsocket object created (Scan_1s_*). Scan_1s_OK is slow and most reliable. Scan_1s_wrong is example how not to do it, which is fast and unrealiable, for localhost use only. You can experiment with Scan_1s_timer by changing time intervals.

By using NewTabURL you can easily select the default URL when new tabs are opened: "Home page", "Blank page", "Current page" or a user defined URL.

Prevent the installation of spyware, adware and other potentially unwanted software!
SpywareBlaster doesnt scan and clean for so-called spyware - it prevents it from being installed in the first place.
It achieves this by disabling the CLSIDs of popular spyware ActiveX controls, and also prevents the installation of any of them via a webpage.
This allows you to run Internet Explorer with Active-X enabled, but it will never download or even prompt you for any of the known ActiveX controls. All other Active-X controls or plug-ins will work fine.
The SpywareBlaster database contains information on these known spyware Active-X controls and can be updated with the click of a button.
The application windows displays a list of all controls that it is able to detect (this is not a list of what was found on your computer). SpywareBlaster cannot detect if you have any of the known objects already installed, but if you do, they will be disabled.
SpywareBlaster provides additional functionality in its "Tools" section. A short description of each of the Tools can be found below:
Browser Pages: This displays many of the "browser pages" on your system (for example, your homepage, various search pages, etc.) and provides the functionality to change any of them. Pages are displayed for both Internet Explorer and Mozilla.
Hosts Safe: The Hosts Safe can store encrypted backup copies or snapshots of the Hosts file. These backup copies are stored in the SpywareBlaster folder. Should you ever need to restore a backup copy of your hosts file, simply select it from the displayed list and press the "Restore Saved Backup" button.
Misc. Internet Explorer Settings: Here you can edit a few Internet Explorer settings that are not readily available through any built-in interface in IE.
Flash Killer: Macromedia Flash can be used to display animated interfaces on websites, animations, and other "Flash" content. Unfortunately, advertisers have begun to use Flash as a method for creating annoying and distracting content. And some users that wish to keep Flash off of their computers altogether have found it troublesome to prevent every website that uses Flash from installing it. Flash Killer can set the kill bit for the Macromedia Flash control (versions 4.x, 5.x, or 6.x) - preventing the installation completely and disabling it if it is already installed. Reversing this procedure is easy.
Custom Blocking: Create your own list of ActiveX controls that you want to block. Add search engine toolbars, browser plug-ins, and more - block any ActiveX control you want. You can even download Custom Blocking lists other people have created. (Warning: Please be careful when using a Custom Blocking list someone else has created. Only consider using a Custom Blocking list if you trust the person that created it.)
